Big drive day today with a time change just to rub salt into the wounds.
Actually the drive was pretty good. The weather went from sunny to cloudy to rain but that just helped to combat some of the dead bugs on the windscreen.
We were lucky in that we listened to the Blue Jays baseball on the radio (yes, I'm sure that some people would consider that making the journey even longer).
Was hoping to get the iconic prairie photo with a beautiful blue sky, polar white clouds framing a field full of yellow canola plants with a bold red grain elevator. Still got a chance to see this tomorrow but may have to fall back to a stock photo.
In other news we found a really good Indian restaurant just behind the hotel. This was very apt as it was 1 week since the last Indian restaurant in Hope BC which was the start of the journey.
Despite seeing Moose warning signs on the highway we saw no actual animals :-(
I thought I'd add a photo of our car trunk. Everyday we have to take everything out and then place everything back again. I think I'm starting to get the idea but I do wish we had a bigger trunk.
It's easy to say we have too much stuff but we won't see our regular household gear and clothes for maybe another 6 weeks.
