Day 14 - Collingwood ON to Toronto ON

Arrived in Hogtown (Toronto) after re-aquainting myself with Toronto's highways and traffic jams we checked into the hotel and took a short break before heading downtown.

Tonight we had tickets for the Toronto Blue Jays. From past experiences we know that driving to or from a sports event can be a life challenging excel isle so we opted to take the subway. This worked very well and the trip took about 30 mins.

The stadium wasn't to open for a couple of hours so we headed down to the Harbourfront where we just chilled out, watched the various activities and boats on the water and watched the planes taking off from the Toronto city airport which sits on an island just off the Harbourfront.
It was a nice day as you can see from the photos below.

At 5:30 we headed off to the sky dome (now called Rogers Center). Unfortunately rain showers were in the forecast so tonight the roof remained closed.
We then proceeded to find our seats (cheap seats are at the top of the stadium).
Despite being some of the cheaper seats the view was very good.
We took out a small mortgage and bought a couple of foot long hotdogs and later some beers

The game was a little slow to start but the excitement increased later as the Jays scored a 3 run home to give the Jays a 5-0 lead and the win.
We took the subway back to the hotel after we navigated the 43288 fans who were trying to find their way home.

We got back tired but happy having seen our team win and headed off to bed. Tomorrow was going to be an early start.
